Athletic Information

LAUSD high school athletic programs has begun implementation of phase 4 reopening for Return to Conditioning.  Eagle Rock HS will participate in conditioning for Season 1 and Season 2 athletic programs.  Season 2 sports will not compete in spring 2021.  All physical conditioning will be in accordance with all governing agencies to ensure the safety and compliance with COVID-19 guidelines.   

Student athletes who have been cleared of all required paperwork including physical clearance will be allowed to begin conditioning.  Athletes will undergo temperature screening, daily pass app QR code scanning, paper copy proof of COVID testing for weekly submission during check in (disclosure of results not required).  Collection of Athletic Paperwork will be stationed at the faculty cafeteria gate entrance during the assigned times to collect outstanding athletic paperwork for students who are planning to return.  Clearance of physicals will require 5 business days for nursing staff to determine eligibility prior to 1st day of conditioning.

Tuesdays         8:15am - 9:15am 

Wednesdays    2pm - 3pm 

Thursdays        2pm - 3pm 

Student Athletes Requirements - The following requirements must be completed prior to entering campus for return to conditioning: 

  1. Signed Waiver of Liability and Statement of Understanding (New Requirement - Attachment C)  
  2. Student Athlete Compact – Form will be available at ERHS athletics link or from your coach.  (New Requirement)   
  3. Athletic Clearance Form
    Login to athleticclearance.com using username and password.  Select the “New Clearance” button on the upper left hand corner. Complete any required fields for student information, educational history, medical history, and consent. Print and Sign the “Parent Consent” form.    
  4. Physical Evaluation Form with Physicians Stamp.  Please allow 5 days for the school health nursing staff to review the physical form to insure that it is fully completed before athletes are cleared to participate.   Before a student may try out for an interscholastic athletic team, evidence of having a cleared physical examination with no restrictions must be submitted for each year of competition.  A physical examination is valid for one calendar year from the date it was given. The annual physical examination must be completed and signed by a licensed physician and stamped by the office where the physical was performed.

  1. Academic Eligibility 
    In order to be eligible, any student must achieve an unweighted 2.0 grade-point average, on a 4.0 scale at the 20 week marking period.     

    Weekly COVID testing is mandatory for athletes within 72 hours of start date.  An equitable compliant schedule will provide access to all teams within the on-site capacity of 80 persons or less during each conditioning session and athletes will be limited to a stable cohort.  Additional information will be posted as soon as further guidance is provided by LAUSD Athletics.
