Return to School Updates

Updated 07/28/2021:

Hello, Eagles. Happy Fun Friday!

1.   Self-Care-Reading takes me on mini adventures. I read a range of intriguing books this summer, including Lahiri’s “Whereabouts” and Ribay’s “Patron Saint of Nothing”. Check in with each other about what you’ve been reading and remind students about summer reading:

End-of-year message

Hello, Eagles. Happy Saturday! This is a summary message of the 2020-21 school year! Time flies! This message has five parts: self-care, celebrations, special events, school-wide end-of-year Webinar, and appreciation.

On August 3, 2020, we shared this self-care tip: See attached for six ideas for self-care from Local District Central’s, such as getting 7-8 hours of sleep.  We shared this quote from Parker Palmer, “Self-care is never a selfish act—it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer to others.” During this school year, we’ve made it a habit to remind you to take care of yourself, each other, and this place. In what ways are you doing good for you? Maybe grab a sip or two of water, stretch, take a couple of deep breaths, or walk around for the next three minutes of this call?
