May 13 Updates

Greetings Eagle Rock families! This is Principal Steinorth with a weekly update from the Rock.

Thank you to PTSA for hosting a Staff Appreciation Breakfast for the school this morning. Special thanks to everyone who volunteered and donated to the cause.

Next week, students in the 7th, 8th, and 11th grades will resume taking the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) summative assessment in Mathematics so please remind your students to get good rest this weekend in order to do their best next week. Students are also reminded to bring their school provided Chromebooks to class with them daily.

Our virtual Spring Open House is available for viewing on our school website. Many of our departments and teachers have a great variety of student work on display.

Congratulations our Girls’ Softball team and Coach Cecconi on a fantastic season which unfortunately end Wednesday with a Quarter Final loss in the Open Division. Baseball will begin their playoff run next week on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. when we host Monroe HS.

Yearbooks are on sale now at the student store. We only have about 100 copies left so get yours soon! The cost is $99 payable by cash or check.

COVID testing will take place at the school next week on Monday and Tuesday, May 16th and 17th through Science classes.

Finally, come out and see our Spring Theater Production of Spamalot next Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21st at 7:00 p.m. with a matinee show at 2:00 p.m. on the 21st. All shows will take place in the school auditorium. Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door.

Have a safe and restful evening everyone!
