SCHEDULE ITEMS Veteran’s Day: There is no school on Thursday, November 11th in honor of Veteran’s Day. Thank you to all who have served our country, you deserve our honor and appreciation! We will see students back on Friday, November 12th. Daylight Saving Time: Set your clocks back one hour on Sunday, enjoy the extra hour of sleep! INSTRUCTION Magnet Program: The open enrollment period for prospective Magnet students (through eChoices) is open now through November 12. Parents will need to fill out an application at apply.lausd.net. Students currently in the program at ERHS do not need to re-apply. English Learners: Reading Inventory (RI) assessment will be administered to English Learners in order to meet the criteria for reclassification in grades 7-12 from October 11 through November 19, 2021. COVID NEWS COVID19 testing: Testing will be on Monday (11/08) and Tuesday (11/09) through our PE/Athletics, and English classes. COVID Vaccination: Please make sure you have uploaded proof of vaccination in the Daily Pass System. Anyone who has not done so by January 10, 2022 will not be allowed to participate in in-person learning unless they have submitted an approved medical exemption. If you received your vaccine doses outside of the District, you must upload your proof of vaccination into the District’s Daily Pass website by December 19, 2021. If you need help uploading your proof of vaccine, please find Mrs. Busch in the quad area at lunch for support. EVENTS Homecoming dance themed “Enchanted Forest” is on Saturday for those that have purchased tickets from 6pm-9pm on the football field. Entrance will be at Oak Grove, evening pick up will be at Yosemite Gate. No high heels allowed on the field, wear comfortable shoes. Dress is semi-formal. No tickets will be sold at the door. CONGRATULATIONS and SPORTS!! Our Eagle Rock Cross Country (XC) team are the League Champs, great job with their final run at Pierce College! Girls Volleyball are heading off to the Championships on Saturday , November 6th @ Birmingham, 12:30pm. Come out and support our Girl’s Volleyball team! We have Varsity Football Playoffs starting this Friday (11/06) versus Dymally High School at ERHS starting at 4:00pm. We will most definitely challenge the Challengers!
