Welcome to the Parent Center! We are a one stop, shop information hub, resource & support center for parents. We hold educational workshops, support our school committees, attend meetings, help with donations, school activities & events. We are ERHS alumni and parents who encourage parent volunteers to help us out! Sept. 21, 2017 Thursday, Sept. 21-no school: It is an unassigned day which means there is no school. Rosh Hashanah means the “head of the year” and represents the Jewish New Year. It is a time of inner renewal and divine atonement. PTSA sent home envelopes last week with all the students. Please be sure to join to support PTSA and get perks such as tickets to the LA County Fair. The LAST day to receive free tickets is this Wednesday, September 20th and is good until the 21st(an unassigned "no school" day). Please have students return the envelopes along with your name, email, membership amount back to their English teachers. Or you can pay for your membership on the PTSA link on our school website. Report Cards-Progress Report cards will no longer be mailed. You can view your child’s progress and grades by logging into the Parent PASSport Portal and/or Schoology. Midterm report cards will be printed and distributed prior to the Student-Led Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 19th from 6:00- 8:00pm. Volunteer Opportunities The School Volunteer Program is run through the Parent Center. Volunteers are a vital part of our community. As a volunteer you can support academic achievement, jump start student careers, encourage student achievement, tutor and mentor, beautify our campus, engage other parents, and support literacy. We are currently accepting applications for parent and community volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please stop by the Parent Center. Some volunteer opportunities include: Translating for parent conferences Tutoring in the A-G requirements Provide supervision for nutrition, lunch, before and after school. Become a mentor for students Serve as a guest speaker Develop apprentice programs for students Assist in set design for the theatre program Support art and music appreciation Support student service learning and community service projects Chaperoning on field trips Be creative and provide your unique suggestions!
