W. Andrew

Assistant Principal

No written word or spoken plea can teach our youth what they should be. Not all the books on all the shelves--it's what the teachers are themselves.

Educational Philosophy:

"A mind is a terrible thing to waste," said Martin Luther King, Jr. to which I would add, "and so is a free education". Teaching is creating learning opportunities for students. Schools must provide a safe, respectful and nurturing environment to foster student growth. Teachers must create and deliver curricula which offer learning opportunities not only for content but also for the development of skills that will transcend the classroom and transfer to post-academic pursuits. Students must take ownership of their own learning and self-development in order to become life-long learners.

What I value most about ERHS:

I value the community's emphasis on the importance of education, the culture and environment of the school and students and the traditions that make ERHS unique and special.
