My name is Ann Nygren and I am a Transition Teacher for Los Angeles Unified School District. A new e-newsletter will be sent out every month, so please be on the lookout! BUT FIRST, WHAT IS TRANSITION? As defined by the Oxford American Dictionary, TRANSITION is “the process of change from one state or condition to another.” OUR SERVICES Transition Services is a coordinated set of activities offered by Los Angeles Unified School District that is designed to facilitate the student’s movement from school to post-school activities, including post-secondary education, employment, independent living, and community participation. SKILL #2 Know how to do laundry How to: Check out this video of a quick tutorial of laundry basics. Activity: Practice! Try a load of laundry---sort, wash, dry, and put away. SKILL #3 Explore hobbies/interests How to: Check out this article for hobby suggestions! Activity: Explore! Search hobbies/interests on the internet. Ask friends or family about their hobbies/interests.
