The Intra-District Permit Application Process @ERJSHS

Thank you for your interest in attending ERJSHS on an Intra-District Permit.

Our Intra-District Permit process is as follows:

  1. Prepare the required documents for the permit:
    • Intra-district permit application (with resident school signature)
    • Most recent proof of residence (any of the following):
      • Water, gas, or electricity bill
      • Property tax
      • Current rental/lease agreement
      • Official government mail (e.g., CalWORKS, Social Security, Medical)
  • Most recent student grades 
  • Additional documents specific to your chosen permit type (see the LAUSD Policy Bulletin)
     
  1. Bring the required documents to the Attendance Office between the hours of 7:30 - 3:30pm  (Monday thru Friday
     
  2. If your permit gets approved, come pick up an enrollment packet starting May 20th.

Please also note the following:

  • We anticipate there will be more intra-district permit applications than we can accommodate. 
     
  • Please recognize that permits are processed in the order they are received. Per district policy, incomplete permit applications will not be processed. It is imperative that you fill out the application carefully and completely. 
     
  • If an intra-district permit application has been denied/cancelled, the parent/legal guardian has the right to appeal if they believe that an exception to district policy is warranted or that circumstances fall within district guidelines. General Information for Intra-District Permits

INTRA-DISTRICT PERMITS MUST BE RENEWED EACH YEAR. 

 

  • Students attending ERJSHS in 2023-2024 on an Intra-District Permit have until May 1, 2024, to submit a permit renewal for the 2024-2025 school year. 

Resident School Administrator Signatures:

  • District policy requires that the resident school sign and stamp the permit to indicate that the administrator at that school has approved the release of the student seeking the permit. 
  • This mandate applies to all types of intra-district permits except Continuing Enrollment permits.  

Continuing Enrollment Permits:

  • If you are seeking a Continuing Enrollment Intra-District Permit, your child must be currently attending ERJSHS. 
  • A signature from the resident school is NOT required
