Greetings Eagle Rock families! This is Principal Steinorth with the penultimate weekly update of the school year from the Rock. Next week is the final week of school and it’s highlighted by our two biggest events of the year, our Senior Commencement Ceremony and the 8th grade Culmination. Our Senior Commencement ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the Remsen Bird Hillside Theater at Occidental College. Our 8th Grade Culmination Ceremony will be on Thursday, June 9th at 10:30 a.m. in our school football stadium. Both events will be live streamed. Look for the links next week on our school website. Senior clearance and Cap and Gown distribution will take place on Monday, June 6th in the afternoon and Commencement rehearsal will begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp on Tuesday morning. Our 8th graders will also close out the school year with refreshments and some fun activities on Friday, June 10th. A Big thank you to all of the parents who have volunteered to help support this celebration! COVID testing will take place at the school next week on Monday and Tuesday, June 6th and 7th through PE and ELA classes for Juniors and Seniors. Finally, the school will be on a Minimum Day schedule on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, June 8, 9, and 10th with students being dismissed at 1:08 p.m. on each of those days.
