School Update May 6, 2022

Greetings Eagle Rock families! This is Principal Steinorth with a weekly update from the Rock.

Kudos and a big thank you to our amazing Eagle Rock teaching staff for being consistently outstanding and going above and beyond! Please wish them the best during Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you to PTSA for hosting a Thank You Breakfast for the school staff on Friday, May 13th. Contact our Parent Center if you’d like to help. A big congratulations to Ms. Gallegos who was celebrated this week as our Northeastern LA Community of School’s Teacher of the Year!

This was a big week for Eagle Rock Athletics, with the Swim team winning the Northern League Title and qualifying for the CIF-City Finals on Saturday. Congratulations to the team and Coach Sood-Mankar and Green. Our Boys’ Volleyball team won their first ever Open Division Quarter Final game on Wednesday. The boys and Coach Hancock will next be in action on Tuesday, May 10th at 5:00 p.m. at Palisades High School with a spot in the City-Finals on the line. Congratulations to our Boys’ Tennis team and Coach Jacobson for an amazing season which unfortunately came to an end Monday with a loss against El Camino HS. Girls’ Softball and Baseball will begin their playoff season next week on Wednesday and Thursday. Way to go Eagles!
