Greetings Eagle Rock families! This is Principal Steinorth with a weekly update from the Rock. Let me begin by saying that although the school has had a challenging week with a significant number of students and staff missing, we finished the week smoothly and the school is open and as safe as we can make it. We are looking forward to welcoming back more of students and staff next Tuesday. The LAUSD Office of Athletics has approved the resumption of competitive athletics beginning January 15, 2022 so our basketball, soccer, water polo and wrestling teams will all return to action next week. Refer to the Athletics calendar on our school website for a complete schedule. COVID testing will take place at the school on Thursday and Friday next week, January 20th and 21st through Design and Individuals and Society classes. Students returning from quarantine who require antigen testing must visit an LAUSD static testing site. Check the LAUSD website for the location closest to you. If you’d to hear more about what’s happening at the school, come to a Virtual Coffee with the Principal on Thursday, January 20th at 6:00 p.m. Look for the Zoom link on our school website and on Schoology. I also want to say thank you to the group of parents who got together and brought donuts for the entire school staff today. After a challenging week, it was very much appreciated. Thank you!
