2020 SUMMER LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

There are several opportunities throughout the District for extended learning this summer for students.  To find out more about all LAUSD Summer Programs including High School Enrichment: https://achieve.lausd.net/summer2020

There are three main categories/types of summer school:

  1. SUMMER TERM CREDIT RECOVERY

For high school students in need of making up courses where they have received a grade of “D” or “F” in a previous class.

Period 1 and 2 Credit Recovery are a blended model of virtual live instruction and Edgenuity.  Periods 3 and 4 Credit Recovery are self-paced Edgenuity based classes.

Enrollment has closed for credit recovery courses as of June 29, 2020. 

Classes are being held virtually, there are no on campus classes. Students should access their Schoology and Edgenuity accounts to participate in CREDIT RECOVERY distance learning for summer.


  1. SUMMER ENRICHMENT FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

For middle school and high school students seeking

Local District Central summer school student class/course information is listed.

Please use the link to find your respective section that will begin on Wednesday, June 24th from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.  When you attend the first session, your teacher will discuss course expectations. Enjoy the summer program.

  1. Extended School Year (ESY)

Extended School Year is intended for qualified students who receive special education services to receive instruction to prevent regression over the summer months.  More information related to ESY can be found at https://achieve.lausd.net/Page/10835
