Announcement May 14th


Hello, Eagles! I invite you to pause for three deep breaths to clear our brains…inhale 1, exhale, inhale 2, exhale, inhale 3, exhale, thank you for helping me collectively bring oxygen to my tired brain on this Thursday evening. The email is longer than the corresponding phone call.

  1. LAUSD updates: Supt. Beutner’s press conference is every Monday at 11am
  2. AP Exams: AP Exams started MONDAY, May 11. Good luck to our students and show what you know!
  3. Culmination and Graduation: Our ERJSHS Class of 2024 Culmination will be June 10. Our ERJSHS Class of 2020 Graduation: June 11, 6pm (Cap n Gown info to come, too). More details coming soon. The previous date of June 12 was an error.
  4. Senior and 8th grade Announcements: Attached are FAQs for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2024. The information is also posted on Schoology.  Enjoy this little gift with mostly 8th graders:
  5. Culmination speakers:
    1. If you would like to participate in culmination by giving a two-minute speech or serving as a language greeter, please email Ms. Youngblood-Jarman ( or Mr. Cohen (
    2. Language greeters, would say "Good morning, families, friends, staff, and 8th graders. Welcome to the culmination ceremony of the Class of 2024."  In a language other than English, such as Spanish, Tagalog, Korean etc,
  6. Uniform Return: Day 1 is done.  The next dates are May 15, May 18, May 22, May 25, & May 29, Mondays and Fridays for three weeks between 9am - 11am.  Senior athletes taking AP exams should return items after all of your exams are done. Also, if you would like your Dust Bowl merch, contact Ms. Malec and/or Ms. Alpuerto.
