Announcement November 8th

Hello, Eagles! This is Mrs.Keipp with the first of two announcements. The first is about School Updates. The second is an e-mail about potential National Walkouts for DACA Protests planned for Tuesday, November 12, 2019.


Please complete the School Experience Survey as a student, parent, or faculty member by: We recently received parent PIN numbers by period 1 teachers; the rosters will be distributed next week. Students without period 1, please see your homeroom teacher. So far, 118 Students, 24 Parents/Guardians, and 27 Faculty/Staff have completed the survey. We can do better!


1. Thank you to our students, teachers, and families who participated in this evening’s Seedlings, Slam, and Songs in Horticulture! We had a blast!

2. Join our Concert in the Quad on November 16 from 2-5pm in the Quad! Great music for only $5 pre-sale or $7 at the door!


  1. Tonight’s play-off football game at home against Sylmar starts at 7pm, not 6pm as previously announced.
  2. To purchase tickets online for tomorrow’s historic Girls Volleyball Championship game, use the link and use your smartphone to enter the gymnasium:

There is a non school-sponosred, parent-organized caravan from Eagle Rock at 4:15pm by the South Gym! Show up in GREEN to root on our team!

  1. Congratulations to boys water polo for beating Birmingham 6-3 in quarterfinal play this afternoon. Semi-finals are Tuesday!
  2. Good luck to girls’ tennis who are moving on in play offs! In, Singles Lydia and Jamie play Tuesday and doubles Portia & Jensel and Sam and Edriana play on Wednesday!

Parent meetings:

  1. Tuesday’s regularly scheduled International Baccalaureate Parent Meeting at 6pm in the Student Cafeteria will include conversations about our bell schedule with representatives from Local School Leadership Council (LSLC) and Local District Central. We have requested Spanish translation.
  2. PTSA is hosting a presentation about vaping. See the attached flyer.
  3. LSLC meets on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 3:30p in the cafeteria.
  4. Coffee with the Principal will be held on Friday, Nov. 15 at 8:15a in Horticulture. Come on by for breakfast treats and learn about our LCAP goals and more.

In closing, Veteran’s Day is Monday, November 11. School will be closed in observance and gratitude for our Veterans, like my father. See you Tuesday for a regular schedule Green Day!
