Announcement October 3rd

Happy Thursday, Eagles. This is Principal Keipp with the first of two updates.  The first is about academics, arts and activities, and athletics. The second e-mail is about student safety. 


  1. PD Tuesdays- The next PD Tuesdays with a 1:30 dismissal are October 8 & 15.
  2. More Internet- From October 8-10, our school will have work performed to upgrade our Internet to 10Gb!! Any disruption to our current service may take place on October 10 for up to three hours.
  3. October 9-School is closed for an unassigned day for Yom Kippur on Wednesday,October 9.
  4. Magnet Open House-100 visitors will be taking magnet tours on Thursday October 10, beginning at 8:15a.
  5. Grades are due on October 11. (Parents, there are Schoology workshops on October 5 & 12 from 9am-11am in Rm 210.)
  6. PSAT- October 17. Students will be meeting by advisory/homeroom in the morning. Wear your favorite college gear!
  1. Fall Athletics: All of our fall sports competed this week and performed well!
    1. Join us for our Homecoming Parade and Football Game on October 4 versus Marshall High School!  Pre-sale student tickets are on sale for $5 at the student store. Tickets at the gate are on sale for cash only for $6 with student ID and $8 general admission.
    2. On Saturday, we invite you to support both of our talented girls and boys Middle School Flag Football teams who have advanced to playoffs! They will play at Los Angeles Academy Middle School! Go Eagles!

  3. For Breast Cancer Awareness, our ASB, football teams, and Senior Class invite you to Senior Night on October 25, where 20% of all football ticket proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer research.

Dear Families,

Beginning Tuesday, October 1, the campus will be closed at 3:30p except for students enrolled in A World Fit for Kids or other activities with adult supervision. Campus safety is our shared responsibility. Here is the link for our FREE afterschool program:
