Announcement September 4th

Happy Wednesday, Eagles. This is Principal Keipp with eight announcements.

  1. Back to School is Thursday, Sept. 5 from 6-8. There will also be the following meetings prior to Back-to-School night: 
    a. Parents/Guardians of 12th graders meet in the Student Cafeteria  from5:00pm – 5:45pm regarding graduation year expectations
    b. Parents/Guardians of  10th graders in the Library from 5:00pm – 5:45pm for Personal Project information
  2. Congressional Visit: Congressional staff will be coming to our North Gym tomorrow to see the results of our Seismic Retrofit and on-going work in the Auditorium and South Gym. Parking will be limited, so faculty and staff please be reminded to park in the South Gym area. Do not park in red zones. Student parking is currently unavailable on campus.
  3. Minimum Day is on Friday, September 6, with a 12:38p dismissal.
  4. PD Tuesdays: There are 14 PD Tuesdays for the school year. The next one is September 17.
  5. Auditorium: Please support PTSA’s Arts fundraiser by! They have raised over $20K so far! The Top 3 classes to have their class recognized in the first three rows of the Auditorium are currently, 7th grade, 8th grade, and 9th grade! Way to go! Donate today! Any size donation in front of the library at tomorrow’s Back to School Night will receive a complimentary gift!
  6. ID Photos for campus safety will continue tomorrow September 5. Make up day is September 12.
  7. More than a Meal: We are currently at 80% submission and we must do better for our school! This year’s data will determine our next FOUR years of funding! If you are one of the 20% of our missing families, please apply today at! Last year’s submission rate was 15%; let’s do a better job of providing much needed funding for our students for meals, teachers, counselors, supplies, busses and more!
  8. Found Coffee is doing a fundraiser for educators on Saturday! Please see the attached flyer for more information and enjoy some tasty treats!

In closing, our fall athletics are on fire! Boys water polo had a double-digit win over El Camino today! Girls tennis heads to Fresno, Girls VB play at Narbonne, XC is running at the Rose Bowl, and Football has our first home game of the season on Friday!
