The Eagle Rock track team travels to Belmont High School on Friday, April 3 with a duall meet with the Sentinels. Belmont has had great distance runners for the past 25 years, and those figure to be good races. The first race of the meet startes at 2:30.

In their last meet, on Friday March 27, the varsity boys team defeated Lincoln 69-54 to up their mark to 2-0 on the season. Senior Alex Loya took first place in both the 110- and 330- hurdles to lead the Eagles. Trevor Heymann was second in those events and won the pole vault. The varsity girls lost to Lincoln, but Kimberly Orpinela won the 100- and 300- yard hurdles. Senior Vanessa Alvarado took first in the 200 and was second in the 100.

Both frosh/soph teams were triumphant. The boys won 72-53 as sophomore Osmin Mancia cruised to first in the 1600, and was second in the 800. Michael Orozco took a first in the high jump, long jump and as a member of the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 yard relay teams. The frosh/soph girls won handily 70-37. Jessica Loya (sister of Alex) won the high jump, long jump and 110 hurdles, and Ashley Dixon won the 100 and 200 and anchored the winning 4 x100 and 4 x 400 relay teams.
