Announcements for Week of Nov. 13th

1.    Veteran’s Day

School will be closed on Friday, November 10th in observance of Veteran’s Day. School will resume on Monday, November 13.

2.    School Experience Survey

The School Experience Survey is an annual survey administered to all LAUSD schools. The survey reports give each school important insight into what staff, students and parents think about their school's learning environment. The 2017-2018 School Experience Survey window is now open. The window will remain open through Friday, November 17th. The data will be available in the Spring of 2018. Click the link to complete the survey:

3.Fall Athletics

a)    Our 1st playoff football game is tonight at 7pm versus Hollywood HS. All tickets are $10, except for students with ID and Seniors over 60, which are $5. Children 4 and under are Free.

b)    Congratulations to Girls Tennis who beat North Hollywood today and will play in the City Finals on Monday. Good luck to Girls Volleyball who play for 3rd place in the City versus Taft tonight at 7pm.

4.Band Concert

Please join us on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7pm, in the Auditorium for our band concert.

5.    Safety on campus

Parents and guardians, please remind students to stay out of construction areas. Also, students who are on campus after school must be with adult supervision such as A World Fit for Kids, athletics, clubs, or tutoring. Students who are not in a supervised activity should not be loitering on campus.

6.Girls BuildLA

Congratulations to the 1st 45 students who signed up to hear Hillary Rodham Clinton speak in December. Field trip information and trip slips will be sent next week!

7.IB MYP Personal Project

Tenth graders, remember that your next meeting with our IB Personal Project Mentor is on Tuesday, November 14, beginning at 2:50pm. All 10th graders complete a Personal Project, so families, check in on your student’s timeline and project goals.
